Editor-in-Chief, IO Learning
CIO provided the optimal platform for collaboration with multidisciplinary specialties whom participate in the management of oncology patients. The input from industry specialists and the interventional radiologists with direct experience with their products offers a unique perspective on both FDA-approved and future therapy options. The encouragement provided to residents and fellows proves CIO remains dedicated to educating the future of IO specialists within the sphere on oncology.
Interventional radiology became a therapeutic paradigm in oncologic diagnosis and treatment. Masterful combination of the CIO sessions exquisitely covered pioneering techniques in embolization, ablative therapies, palliative care, non-opioid pain management, and IO practice business. Cutting-edge, minimally invasive technology, indulging virtual reality educational tools, and passion and skills of all the established IO leaders built for an exceptional CIO meeting. Truly inspired to keep fighting the good fight.
I really enjoyed this year’s CIO meeting with its emphasis on both the essentials for IO practice as well as the most up-to-date data review, practical skills, and lots of new ideas, expert recommendations, and upcoming therapies from elite interventional oncologists. The range of topics covered was excellent, and the format included the right balance between lectures, workshops, and interactive sessions.
